Growing up in the decaying reminiscence of a brutalist dream, this movement has been a constant inspiration. This raw utopia where confrontational geometry, juxtaposed with organic and textural surfaces of béton created a fresh emphasis and drive on material. Paying homage to their lust for pushing the boundaries of materiality I have explored this manifesto within cloth. Through constructed surfaces of embroidery along with the deconstruction and transformation of cloth through screen printing, I have created fabrics that replicate this ideal yet wholly challenges them.
